Sun position calculates the Sun's location from your GPS position and current time.
Access: Position tab → sun tile.
Displayed data
- Sun azimuth (direction in the sky)
- Elevation above the horizon
- Sunrise and sunset times
- Day or night phase
Sailing uses
- Orientation at sea without a compass (at solar noon the Sun is south on the northern hemisphere)
- Planning sail trim with deck sun exposure
- Estimating dusk before entering port
The module requires active GPS — without position, calculations are not available.
