Distance Alarm monitors GPS distance to a saved navigation waypoint and alerts when the yacht comes within the chosen range. Access: Help → Safety at sea → Distance alarm.

Setup

  • Tap the map to pick the alarm point (or “Use current GPS position”)
  • Set the alarm threshold with the slider or quick presets (50 m – 5 km)
  • Tap “Start distance alarm” (GPS required for monitoring)

How it works

  • A foreground service monitors GPS distance in the background
  • When distance drops below the threshold: loud alarm, vibration, full-screen alert and notification
  • When you move away again — the alarm clears automatically
  • Blue banner in the app during an alarm

Stopping requires confirmation in a dialog.
