Offline Emergency Guide

The Offline Emergency Guide provides emergency procedure checklists based on established sailing practice (RYA, COLREG). Access: Tools → Offline Emergency Guide.

Five categories

MOB — immediate actions, Williamson/Anderson/reach-tack-reach turns, keep in sight, call for help
Fire — RACE procedure (Rescue, Alarm, Contain, Extinguish), correct extinguishers, evacuation
Leak / flooding — find source, pumps, damage control, MAYDAY
Loss of steerage — reduce sail, heave-to, emergency rudder, request tow
Calling for help — MAYDAY/PAN-PAN/SECURITÉ, VHF Ch 16, EPIRB, 112, MRCC numbers

Each category has a training warning, numbered steps, and a “Remember” section. The calling-for-help category can link to the VHF Phrasebook in Help.

The module is fully offline — no GPS or internet required. Content is educational only — it does not replace certified training, a VHF licence, or official vessel procedures.
